BUM Marketing - How To Get Your Listings To Stick Like Glue

Your Ad Here

Here is an article that I think will be useful to
all of you Article Marketers, and BUM Marketers
in particular...

Now if you are unfamiliar with the concept of Bum Marketing, then
before you try applying the following you should learn the basics here:

The Bum Marketing Method

And a useful PDF can be downloaded HERE

Now you can go ahead and learn about getting your listings to stick...

BUM Marketing - How To Get Your Listings To Stick Like Glue

If you have been using the Bum Marketing Method for any amount of time you
quickly realize that the key phrases you get listed for is brilliant only to go and
check back a few days later and find out that your listing can not be found!

In this post I am going to show you not how to stop this from happening as no-one
can control Google, but once it does happen and your listings drop exactly what to
do to get them back!

So let’s begin…

Article Writing

I assume if you are using the Bum Marketing method you must know about how
to write your articles so they get listed but here a few points that may help you
get them listed higher.

Firstly do your keywords research following the Bum Marketing Method, which you
should already know.

I search for keywords that get more than 30 searches a day and that have competition
of no more than 15,000 when put in quotes!

Here are a few quick pointers of how to get your article listed higher:

1. Always have the title as the key phrase – So if your key phrase was “Dog Training” your title should be “Dog Training – 7 Secrets The Pros Use” or something to that effect!

2.
Always start your article with the key phrase, this is important because Google’s Spiders sometimes do not read through an entire page and it will get indexed faster.

3.
Mention the key phrase about 2-3 times a paragraph depending on the size of the paragraph of course!

4.
Most important in your author’s bio box make sure you mention the phrase again and also put an Anchor Link for the key phrase.

So you would have something like your author bio and then your call to action would be “To Find Out The One Real Secret Of Dog Training Click The Link Below”. The Anchor link is made like this:

Dog Training

Obviously put your site instead of the URL above and it will make a link that
says “Dog Training” for people to click on!
Follow those pointers above when writing your articles and you will see your
listings soar!

Now on to the main report on how to get your listings to stick to Google.
The main reason that Google removes articles and ads and you notice your work
there one day and gone the next is normally because you do not have enough
back links!

Here Is How To Get Your Listings And Articles To Stick to Google Like Super Glue!:

First off you can use this for any article or US Free Ads or Squidoo Lens that
you want to get back into the listings:
Step 1:
Go to Digg.comDigg is a social bookmarking site where people submit stories
and reports and is best used to get your articles bumped up or your squidoo
lens back in the listings.
Unfortunately you can not use Digg for US Free Ads but I will tell you how to do
that later…
So once you are at Digg.com sign up for an account if you need one and then all
you need to do is submit a new story!
You can go Here to do this and the button is in the top right of Digg’s Homepage.

Enter the article or squidoo lens address into the box and click on submit.

Here all you do is enter a quick overview about what your article or squidoo lens is about. I have used the Dog Training example.

Also remember to lay it out as I have done in the screenshot above and use your key phrases a few times a paragraph.

Also note that Digg are quite strict on Spamming so do not over do it! You should be linking through to articles or squidoo lens with good content so you should not run into any problems!

Step 2:

Go to http://www.onlywire.com/ this is another social bookmarking service that enables you to post to multiple social bookmaking services all at once!

You can also use this one for your US Free Ads as well!

Once you get there you will need to click on the link that says “Start Using It Now” and create a username and password.

The first thing you need to do on this page is at the top where it has a link that says “Save Page (std)” you need to drag and drop this into your tool bar which is normally where the links are to Windows marketplace and so on.

Once you have done that you need to click on the links in the picture above and sign up for an account at each one. This is tedious I know but it will sky rocket your listings.

Then come back to this page above and enter your username and password in the boxes above and remember to click on “Save My Logins” at the bottom.

After you have done all that go back to the squidoo lens or article you submitted to digg and while on the page, Click on the Save page link that should now be in your toolbar.

This will take you through to a page similar to the one on digg and you should write you bookmark in much the same way.

With the key phrase as the title and the comments and notes using the key phrase a few times every paragraph!

After you have followed the steps above you should see your listing come back into Google within a few days, although most of the time it is a lot quicker!

If All Else Fails:

If you still can not see you’re listing after a couple of days go to

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/

And submit a listing in exactly the same way as you write the bookmarks above into the small biz ads section on this page.

Also bear in mind that craigslist gets you indexed super fast although do not use the service more that once every 24 hours or they will just remove the listing.

If you are still not listing on Google at that point (you should be!) you should write an article containing the key phrase and submit it to http://www.goarticles.com/ and another article with the key phrase with different content to http://searchwarp.com/

That’s all there is too it!

I recommend following the steps above on your Bum Marketing listings that are making you money that suddenly drop, although you could use it for each of your articles and Squidoo lens if you wanted and totally dominate Google!

Increase Your Sites Traffic and Revenue

Increase Your Sites Traffic and Revenue

I came across this post at Russell Brunson's Conquer Your Niche Forum.
This has recently become my favorite Marketing Forum.
Russell has forgotten more about making money online than most
"Gurus" selling marketing courses today, so it is no real surprise that
this project is another winner. You earn advertizing credits for
posting, or even just looking at other people's posts. Join it today:

Jason Green has some great points in his list:

My 65 tips for maximizing revenue!

1. Write something great about your niche and email other bloggers to let them know – there’s a good chance they’ll link to you

4. Leave comments on other people’s blogs and link back to your site (tip: look in the digg upcoming section for blog posts about to get a lot of traffic).

6. Answer questions on Yahoo Answers

7. Post in Yahoo and Google Groups with a link to your site in your signature

9. Have an opt-in form – trade links with someone else who has an opt in form on your confirmation page

15. Add a mailing list subscribe form in a high profile spot on your site

24. Buy banner space on other websites if you can get a good ROI

25. Send articles to ezine publishers with a link back to your website

26. Do a big viral push for a piece of link bait, post it in forums, social bookmarking sites like digg, email bloggers, and get a few people to vote for you on social bookmarking sites – this little push could start a viral chain reaction!

27. Have a link to your site on community sites like MySpace and FaceBook

28. Use a traffic trading system like BlogRush

29. Purchase misspellings of competitors domains and redirect your site (be careful of trademark infringement)

30. Create a freebie product to give away (ebook, software, whitepaper etc.)

31. Submit your site to the hundreds of free directories – use the viles-silencer list

32. Do a group feature where you get other website owners in your niche to participate – maybe asking them all an opinion on something.

34. Pass out business cards when you go to industry events in your niche

35. If you have a product start an affiliate program and start approaching affiliates

36. Submit videos to video sharing sites like YouTube and Metacafe. Include a link in the description and within the actual video.

41. Use an autoresponder on your mailing list to keep people coming back to your site

42. Exchange links with a few related sites in your niche

43. Network! Email other site owners, phone them up, go to industry events and get yourself known. If they know your face they will likely talk about you on their site if you do something interesting.

44. Many forums have a place for you to advertise your site once – find them and do it.

45. Purchase advertising in other people’s mailing lists and newsletters

46. Create an Amazon profile and start submitting reviews

47. Create profiles on MySpace and start networking in groups that are interested in your site’s niche.

48. Conduct a survey and publish the results – make sure you let people know about it.

49. Get your hand on a load of PLR content for your niche. Add a commentary to the top, create a unique title, and post them all to your site – lots of new content and lots of new traffic.

50. Create a cartoon mascot for your site – then hold a competition for someone to create the best game for it – pay the winner a decent amount.

51. Make sure you have a memorable domain name that is short and catchy.

52. Use a well-searched for keyword within your domain name to help rank for that keyword.

53. If you sell a product ask someone else who sells a product to list your product with theirs, and you’ll do the same for them – split commissions on sales.

54. When you write a new article on your site – link to as many blogs as possible – they will likely see your site in their pingbacks, website stats, or Technorati. They will visit your site and possibly subscribe to it and link back at a later date.

55. Get your RSS feed syndicated to different sites like Zimbio and hubpages and Topix.

56. If your site is popular and has quality unique content then apply to get listed in Google’s News search.

57. Create a sitemap and submit it to Google (not great but might help)

58. Use your robots.txt file to stop Google indexing certain directories and pages on your blog (such as archives) to avoid duplicate content issues).

59. Create a couple of small 10 page sites related to your main site. Offer links on these smaller sites in return for links to your main site (this is triangular reciprocal linking).

60. Get yourself known as an expert and get featured in offline magazines, TV and radio stations.

61. Use an auto-translator service to translate your site into other languages – put it in a subdirectory and watch foreign traffic come in.

62. Make posts about sex (don’t have to post anything rude) – and watch the porn surfers find their way to your site through Google.

63. Post about celebrities current events if it relates to your niche – there’s always a lot of people looking up celebrity stuff.

64. Write good headlines/titles – good titles get more clicks.

65. Get some stickers with your domain name on. Go out and stick them on strangers and say “My Website Yeah, Check it out.”

Everyday Webmaster Tools - Plus 171 Free Website Templates

A common question asked in forums is where to get certain tools, either for free or at a low cost. Just recently a group of tools that has actually been around for quite a while fell in my lap. Yes, this has been mentioned before, but frankly needs a bit more exposure for everyone to appreciate what all is available there.

Frankly, not many days go by without more than one of these getting used on my blogs, and sites. Look carefully at what is available here, and you will be impressed at what you find.

A case in point are the 171 Website Templates available in the suite of tools. There are also almost three times as many Website Templates available for a meager $19.95/year.

The banner below rotates, but will always take you to the entire Bravenet Suite of tools.

Tell me what you think in the comments section below.

The SitePal product is exceptionally cool. Am planning a couple of projects where it should work quite well. If you really don't think that any of this would be useful to you, then you are definitely in the minority.

Try it out!

After all it is Free!!

How To Get Targeted Traffic To Your Site Or Blog

How To Get Targeted Traffic To Your Site Or Blog

Directly or indirectly, this is perhaps the most common topic discussed in any forum or blog about making money online. This is as it should be, as it is the most important activity we engage in, other than content generation.

One of the forums I frequent had an excellent post about this with a great list of resources (free for the most part) that we should all be utilizing. If you take the time (and make no mistake, this will take quite a bit of time) you will see targeted traffic coming to your site, blog or forum.

So without further ado, here is the list:

*************************************************************************************

Don't forget to submit your MLM business blog (if you have one) to all the Blog Search engines. This will get your blog information out much more quickly and help generate traffic to your site!

Some will get you in right away and others will take time. Just like a regular search engine- they will come by and "crawl" your blog periodically.

Here's a few you can check out:

Blogs seem to be all the rage...and a very useful tool for networking too.

Google's Blogger service also has a function that alot of people haven't yet discovered at http://www.AudioBlogger.com

===========

Here's another Ping service http://www.pingoat.com. Comes highly recommended from the Business Blogger Network on Ryze. I used to use Pingomatic but had some speed and downtime issues with it. Pingoat appears much faster, never down, and has a lot more places it pings....including international blog directories. Pretty cool.

There's 2 networks on http://www.Ryze.com (social/business networking community) called "Blogging For Business" and "Blogs and Bloggers" which have tons of great information....discussions and links for resources.

I just ran across this neat little tool today while doing some research for a spring cleaning of my blogs. It will automatically generate the html for RSS feed buttons (chicklets) you can then put on your blog to help visitors subscribe to your article feed.

Covers a lot of possible feed and subscribtion sources giving you and your readers lots of choices. Pretty cool...very fast...and really easy to use. Just fill in a couple boxes...click.... than cut & paste the html generated into your blog template.

My friends Ben Fitts and Jack Spirko of MarketingIce offer the below tip on RSS feeds......

-----

Submit RSS......

We've put together a list of rss submission tools and rss directories for you to submit your blogs to.

In our video Why Blog - The difference between blogs and websites - What is a blog? we talk about why blogs are better in some ways than web sites. One of the reasons is because you can submit rss feeds from your blog or your blog's main page to tons of web directories that wouldn't list your normal web site. In fact here is a list of over 70 places you can submit rss feeds from your blog too.

Each link opens in a new window so you don't loose your spot on our web site.

How To Use Online Forums To Get Traffic And Sales

Your Ad Here

How To Use Online Forums To Get Traffic And Sales

I get many questions on how to promote Affiliate Programs without having to have lists, websites, pay per click search engines etc.

Example of question:

Is it possible at all to promote Affiliate Programs and earn money if I just started out and have nothing more then an internet browser and internet connection?

The answer to this question is… YES

Many web users frequently involve themselves in at least one online forum. Online forums are a great way to connect with others on a more personal level. Some forums are very informal and involve discussion on everyday issues, while others are more informational.

If you are trying to find free ways to advertise your affiliate link, using online forums to promote website traffic is a great idea. There are several ways you can use online forums to promote affiliate links. You should carefully consider the various different approaches and how you want yourself to be viewed before using a forum as a means of advertising.

The easiest way you can use an online forum to promote your affiliate link, is by simply adding a link to promoted website in your forum “signature”. Many forums allow each member to create a “signature” that is added to the bottom of each of their posts.

If you include your affiliate link to something for free, it is likely that others you chat with in the forums will become more familiar with the website name and probably even check it out. This is one of the most reserved ways to promote an affiliate link in online forums.

This is a great option for someone who does not want to be as pushy about the advertising aspect. You can be more natural with the ad delivery by using forums in this manner. You can even begin visiting forums that you usually don’t, just to get your “signature” out there more frequently across the web. Many blogs also allow comment sections where you can leave your affiliate link in your “signature”, so take advantage of these avenues as well.

*********************************************************************************
An Important Note:

Lately, many forums have banned affiliate links,
but will allow a url to a domain that you own.

So this would not be allowed:

http://www.secretsofelitemarketers.com/?15100

But this would:

http://floydbogart.com/SOEM.html

Even though both URLs go to the same site.
But for this to work, it is important that you
not just use a redirect but also to cloak that
affiliate link.

If you don't have an Affiliate Link Cloaker
feel free to use mine at no cost by Clicking Here

*********************************************************************************

You can also simply post advertisements into online forums. This is a more direct way of reaching those that read the forum. It is free indeed, however you need to be aware of a few things before using this approach.

First, some online forum moderators do not allow direct advertisements on their boards. They usually don’t do this to be mean or unreasonable; they do it to avoid the entire forum being filled with advertisements. It is possible that you may be able to sneak an advertisement in without being scolded, but it is better to follow the rules.

Another thing to consider when using direct advertisements in online forums is that the entire approach may seem a little pushy. Many people consider online forums as a place that is personal and free from annoying ads.

Therefore, they may not respond well to a direct advertisement as they may see it as being made by an intruder that is not part of the normal forum “family”. Being bold enough to go this route however will most definitely give your affiliate link more traffic, because some of the readers will be prompted to check out more information from your post.

When deciding to use online forums to promote affiliate link you need to consider what types of forums would be most appropriate for your posts. You can certainly use forums that you regularly comment within, even if they have nothing to do with your website.

People who are use to seeing your comments will likely respond warmly to your website just because they consider you familiar. In addition to your regular forums, consider searching for forums that have some sort of a link to the content on promoted website.

Overall, the more people you reach with your use of online forums to promote affiliate link, the more positive results you will see. Using forums are perfect for those on a tight budget who still want to promote their affiliate link.

Just be sure to consider forum rules and choose an appropriate approach before posting. You don’t want to ruin your promoted website’s reputation or even the reputation of yourself.
